Interim Human Resources Business Partner - Remote with extensive UK travel - £45,000 FTE + Car allowance + Benefits 

* Please note that this contract will be operated on a remote basis with regular travel throughout the North, Midlands and Southeast England * 

Well Placed HR are delighted to have been engaged by a long standing client, a rapidly expanding and highly successful Cornish retail services business. The company has an outstanding reputation for staff retention and are highly regarded for their employee development. They now seek to recruit an exceptional HR Business Partner, a position of pivotal importance that works within an extremely experienced and energetic people management team. This is a full time, interim contract covering a period of maternity leave. The duration of the contract is likely to be fixed for 12 months and the role can be operated on a remote basis with regular travel to business sites throughout the North, Midlands and Southeast UK. 

Reporting to the Director of HR, the successful candidate will join a small team of HR BP’s and take full management of several retail sites throughout the UK. The key focus of this role is to nurture and develop colleagues, ensuring that those that want to progress - do. The role works to improve people management strategy and develop the function through projects and improvements, ultimately creating a culture that is as close as possible to an employee utopia! In this role, the HR BP will play an active role in developing and promoting: 

- Deliver exceptional employee relations services

- A superb recruitment and resourcing strategy

- An efficient and modern program of training and development

- A culture where employees are engaged

- High quality talent management 

- The provision of management information

- The delivery of ongoing projects

We’re looking for a candidate with at least 2-3 years of recently gained people management experience gained at either BP, manager, or advisor level and with up to date knowledge of all aspects of human resources, employment law and general HR policy. Ideally, you’ll be qualified to CIPD level 5 and have experience in a retail focussed environment. Just as important as technical capacity will be team fit. This is an engaged, passionate function that have a genuine desire to ensure exceptional workforce support and as such it will be important that an incoming candidate recognises the values that the organisation stand for.
