HR Advisor

HR Advisor -  Nr. Truro - Part-Time (3 Days per Week) - £35,000 FTE

Well Placed HR are delighted to be supporting a highly respected and unique Cornish organisation, with the appointment of a Part-Time HR Advisor. Working three days per week, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day HR function and become a trusted point of contact for managers and employees across the organisation.

This is a stand-alone position offering genuine ownership of the HR function. You'll have the opportunity to influence how HR operates, support managers in developing their people skills and contribute to the continued development of a progressive and positive workplace.

As HR Advisor, your responsibilities will include:

- Providing day-to-day HR advice, guidance and support to managers and employees

- Managing a broad range of HR processes including recruitment, absence, performance, grievance and disciplinary matters

- Supporting payroll and benefits administration

- Developing, reviewing and implementing HR policies and procedures

- Producing HR reports and making recommendations to improve people processes

- Ensuring HR activity remains compliant with current employment legislation and recognised best practice

- Contributing to initiatives designed to strengthen employee engagement and positive employee relations 

The successful candidate for this HR Advisor role will:

Have previous experience working as an HR Advisor, together with a strong and up-to-date understanding of UK employment legislation.

You'll be confident working independently and making sound decisions, whilst also building strong relationships with people at all levels of an organisation. Excellent communication skills will be essential, along with a professional and approachable manner.

Being comfortable using Microsoft Office and HR systems is important, as is managing competing priorities and working to deadlines. Whilst a CIPD qualification would be advantageous, it isn't essential.
