Temporary HR Advisor, 3–4 Months, Full Time, Bodmin £40k

Well Placed HR is recruiting for an established and growing manufacturing business looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join its site-based HR team on a temporary 3–4 month temporary basis.

This is a hands-on, generalist HR Advisor role, working closely with the HR Manager and supporting managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle. You'll be involved in employee relations, absence management, recruitment, HR administration and wider people projects.

The role

- Act as a first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries.

- Manage employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence matters.

- Support and coach managers through people issues and HR processes.

- Monitor attendance and support sickness absence management.

- Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems.

- Support recruitment, onboarding, right to work checks and employee lifecycle processes.

- Produce HR reports and metrics and identify areas for improvement.

- Assist with payroll queries, audits and wider HR processes.

- Support inductions, training and occupational health activity.

- Get involved in HR projects and process improvements across the site.

About you

We're looking for an experienced HR Advisor with several years' generalist HR experience at HR Advisor level.

Experience within manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or another operational environment would be useful, alongside solid employee relations experience and confidence supporting managers.

You will be approachable, organised and comfortable working in a busy environment where priorities can change. Ideal candidates will be CIPD Level 5 qualified, although relevant experience will be considered.

This temporary HR Advisor opportunity would suit someone who enjoys a hands-on HR role and can quickly get up to speed within a busy operational business.
