Exclusive to Well Placed HR
People & Culture Coordinator
Full Time, Permanent | Liskeard | Hybrid – 2 Days from Home | £29,000 - £33,000 DOE
Well Placed HR is pleased to be working exclusively with a growing and forward-thinking organisation in Liskeard to recruit a People & Culture Coordinator – Recruitment & Governance.
This is a varied operational HR role, ideal for someone with experience in HR administration, recruitment coordination or People Operations who enjoys keeping things organised, working with systems and making sure processes run smoothly.
Working closely with the HR Business Partner, you'll play an important role across recruitment, onboarding, HR administration, payroll inputs, people systems and governance. You'll also have the opportunity to get involved in improving processes, automation and manager self-service.
What you'll be doing as People & Culture Coordinator
- Coordinating recruitment from vacancy approval through to offer and onboarding.
- Managing candidate communication, interview scheduling and recruitment records.
- Coordinating new starter administration, including right to work checks, contracts and HR system set-up.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems.
- Coordinating payroll inputs, including starters, leavers, contractual changes, absence, pensions and benefits.
- Supporting HR reporting, people metrics and governance checks.
- Monitoring the HR inbox and acting as a first point of contact for routine HR queries.
- Supporting employee lifecycle administration, including references, family leave, flexible working and Occupational Health referrals.
- Helping to improve HR processes, workflows, systems and manager self-service.
- Ensuring HR documentation is accurate, GDPR compliant and audit-ready.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience in HR administration, recruitment coordination, People Operations or a similar operational role.
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding processes.
- Good IT skills and confidence working with HR systems and Microsoft Office.
- Experience with payroll administration or payroll inputs would be advantageous.
- A proactive and practical approach, with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to deal with managers, candidates and colleagues at all levels.
- CIPD Level 3 qualified, working towards it, or equivalent experience would be desirable.
This role would suit someone who enjoys HR operations, systems, data and process improvement rather than someone looking for a predominantly employee relations or HR advisory position.
What's on offer
- £29,000 - £33,000 depending on experience.
- Hybrid working – 2 days from home each week.
- Flexible working.
- Company pension.
- Attractive annual leave package.
- Enhanced sick and family leave.
- Bespoke training and development.
- Free onsite parking.
- Employee share options.
- Death in service benefit.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
If you're an organised HR professional who enjoys making things happen behind the scenes and wants to join a business where you can develop and make a genuine impact, we'd love to hear from you.
