Well Placed HR is delighted to be working with a successful and well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Site HR Manager on a part-time basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys being hands-on, working closely with managers and employees, and taking ownership of the full HR function within a busy manufacturing environment.
As Site HR Manager, you will provide a comprehensive generalist HR service across the site, supporting recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, compliance and HR processes. You will work closely with site leadership and the wider HR function, while having the autonomy to manage day-to-day HR activity.
As HR Manager you will be responsible for:
-Taking responsibility for the day-to-day HR function at site level, acting as a trusted point of contact for managers and employees.
- Managing the full recruitment process across both operational and salaried positions, from advertising and interviewing through to offers and pre-employment checks.
- Coordinating new starter processes, inductions, onboarding and training.
- Supporting managers with employee relations matters, including investigations, absence, performance and disciplinary processes.
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records and ensuring HR documentation is compliant and up to date.
- Supporting performance management processes, including objectives, appraisals and development activity.
- Coordinating training and development programmes across the site.
- Supporting the effective implementation of company-wide HR initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Providing HR reporting and key people metrics to support business and workforce decisions.
- Working closely with managers to promote positive employee relations and an inclusive, supportive workplace culture.
- Ensuring HR policies and procedures are applied consistently and in line with UK employment legislation.
- Working alongside the Health & Safety function to support appropriate employee records, processes and compliance.
- Liaising with Finance to support the administration of monthly payroll.
- Supporting benefits, leave and other employee-related processes.
- Working with the wider HR team on projects, change initiatives and continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate for this HR Manager role will:
- Be CIPD qualified or working towards CIPD qualification.
- Have strong experience working in a broad HR generalist capacity, ideally in a standalone or site-based HR role.
- Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering, automotive or similarly fast-paced operational environment would be highly desirable.
