HR & Compliance Manager

HR & Compliance Manager - Bodmin (hybrid working and parking available) - £35-38,000

Well Placed HR have been exclusively retained by a well-established and values-led organisation to recruit an experienced HR & Compliance Manager. This is a broad, hands-on role offering a great balance of operational HR delivery and strategic input.

Operating out of their Bodmin offices, you will work closely with the leadership team and take ownership of HR operations, compliance and culture. Ensuring people processes run smoothly, policies remain up to date and the organisation continues to provide a supportive and legally compliant working environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

-       Oversee all areas of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding and compliance

-       Maintain HR systems and ensure records meet GDPR and employment law standards

-       Manage Health & Safety processes and staff training

-       Support monthly payroll and act as a point of contact for payroll queries

-       Provide advice and guidance on employee relations and HR best practice

-       Review and develop HR policies and procedures

-       Foster a culture of trust, accountability and wellbeing

-       Line manage and support the HR and Office Administrators.

You’ll be an experienced HR professional, ideally CIPD qualified (or with equivalent experience), with a strong understanding of employment law, compliance and health & safety. You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills, be confident managing change and take a proactive approach to developing people and processes. You’ll also be motivated by working within an organisation that values inclusivity, integrity and continuous improvement.
