Human Resources Manager – Bristol – Circa: £40,000

There’s a lot to consider when moving on to a new job opportunity. The position responsibilities need to suit, the remuneration needs to be attractive, and the future prospects need to be bright. But perhaps one of the most important and often overlooked factors to consider is the employer and the nature of their operation. If working with a highly ethical organisation that genuinely changes & improves people’s lives means as much as the job that you’re paid to do, this will undoubtedly be an opportunity that will be of interest.

We’ve been assigned by a high-profile charity that makes a real difference to the mental and physical health of their clients. They work very closely with their clients to offer a unique and unrestricted service that brings about huge social benefit.

They seek to recruit an ambitious, experienced Human Resources Manager to head up and develop their people function. It’s a role that calls for strong strategic awareness and excellent interpersonal skills.

The role reports to the Director of Resources and supports & supervises a small but efficient HR administration team. The successful candidate will take a lead role in delivering content relating to employment law, disciplinaries, sickness and general people management matters. This will entail regular and open communication with managers across all departments, long term staff and new starters. It also works closely with the payroll & finance, and will support the IT department as they migrate to an updated HR platform. Other key responsibilities to include recruitment, H&S, and ensuring strict statutory compliance at all times.

We’re looking for a candidate who possesses proven HR management experience and the ability to manage a small team.  You will ideally hold a CIPD or similar level qualification. Of equal importance will be a strong understanding and drive to achieve the charity’s objectives. The organisation is led by a highly competent and passionate senior management team and it is crucial that the HR Manager shares the charity’s values. This role is offered as a permanent and full time position (although consideration may be given to someone seeking a 4 day week). This role is operated on a hybrid basis, with 2 days to be based on site in Bristol.

We’re working to a reasonably tight deadline so interested applicants are encouraged to get in touch ASAP. For further details of this interesting, socially beneficial opportunity, please contact Carly Kellow quoting reference CK10753.
